Went to qualify and first shot had an FTE with the next good round butting up against the back of the non-extracted spent round. I cleared and finished the next few rounds required no prob.Apr 25, 2019 · The M11-A1 has a pretty stiff factory mainspring. Maxed out the gage (12lbs) part way through the DA pull. It was pretty ridiculous on mine. 18# spring worked with a DA pull around 10.5 lbs but 17 didn't so I'm going with a 19# just to be on the safe side. I'm running a 19# in my P220 with no troubles so I'm going with that. I just bought a new M11A1 and when getting it home, I noticed that it had P229 grips instead of P228 grips (which is what it's supposed to have). Yes, the gun is "more" P229 than P228, but the whole point is that this is supposed to be "true-er" to the military M11. And that means P228 grips. It's what every picture of the M11 online is wearing.It appears that Sig has discontinued all variations of the M11-a1. The M11-A1 is a P229. It is essentially a P229 SAS gen 2. The differences are the original style P228 grips, phosphate coated internals, 3 magazines instead of 2, a sweet SIG engraving on the top of the slide and tactical UID sticker on the frame.
